1. Belief in One God (Tawheed)
Islam teaches that there is only one God, worthy of worship, without partner or equal.
Qur'an: “Say, He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent.” (Surah Al-Ikhlas 112:1–4.
Hadith: “Let the first thing to which you will invite them be the Tawheed of Allah.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 7372)
2. Prophethood of Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)
Muhammad (PBUH) is the final messenger in a long line of prophets.
Qur'an: “Muhammad is not the father of any one of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the last of the prophets.” (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:40)
Hadith: “I am the last (end) of the Prophets and there will be no Prophet after me.” (Sahih Muslim 2286)
3. The Qur’an: Divine Guidance
The Qur’an is the final revealed book, a complete guide for humanity.
Qur'an: “This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah.” (Surah Al- Baqarah 2:2)
Hadith: “I leave behind me two things, the Qur’an and the Sunnah, and if you follow these, you will never go astray.” (Muwatta Malik 1601)
4. Justice and Mercy
Islam commands justice and encourages mercy in all dealings.
Qur'an: “Indeed, Allah commands justice and good conduct…” (Surah An-Nahl 16:90)
Hadith: “The merciful are shown mercy by The Merciful. Be merciful to those on earth…” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi 1924)
5. Respect for All Prophets
Muslims honor all prophets, including Moses, Jesus, and others.
Qur’an: “Say, ‘We believe in Allah and what was revealed to us… and what was given to Moses and Jesus… We make no distinction between any of them.’” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:136
6. Peace and Submission
Islam literally means peace through submission to Allah.
Qur'an: “O you who have believed, enter into Islam completely and perfectly…” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:208)
Hadith: “A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand people are safe.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 10)
7. Rights and Dignity of All Humans
Islam promotes the equality and sanctity of all human beings.
Qur'an: “Indeed, We have honored the children of Adam…” (Surah Al-Isra 17:70)
Hadith: “All mankind is from Adam and Eve… An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab…” (Prophet’s Last Sermon)
8. Charity and Social Welfare
Helping the needy is central to Islam.
Qur’an: “And establish prayer and give zakah…” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:43)
Hadith: “He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while the neighbor to his side goes hungry.” (Sunan al- Kubra, al-Bayhaqi)
9.Accountability and the Afterlife
Everyone will be judged by Allah for their deeds.
Qur’an: “So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.” (Surah Az-Zalzalah 99:7–8)
Hadith: “The intelligent person is the one who controls himself and acts for what is after death…” (Sunan al- Tirmidhi 2459)
10.Come to common terms:
Say, "O People of the Scripture, come to a word that is equitable between us and you - that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah ." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him]."Al quran 3:64
